Programs

SALI offers a Master of Divinity, Bachelor of Theology, and Diploma in Theology. The latter 2 programs are accredited by the Asia Theological Association (ATA). Candidates for Diploma in Theology should have passed 10th grade and those who are applying for B.Th. should have passed 12th grade.

All the courses offered at SALI have English as the medium of instruction and the candidates are required to have a fair knowledge of the English language.

Admission Requirements

General

He / she should be a born-again Christian
He / she should be a person of good Christian reputation
The candidate should be an active member of a local church
The candidate should be able to demonstrate a definite calling in his/her life to the Lord’s ministry

Educational

B.Th. /BA/ B.SC degree pass from a Recognized Board/University
Candidates are expected to possess at least a basic English proficiency manageable enough to read, write, and speak on a basic level

Procedures

Completely filled application form with the Application fee.
A written testimony of born-again experience and the calling for ministry
Recommendation letters from local Pastor/Church and a Christian leader
Copy of Aadhaar card or valid ID proof.
Affidavit from the student
A Medical Fitness Certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner
Personal interview and verification of the certificates and transcripts
Submit the original certificate of 12th pass or equivalent and a set of Copies of Certificates and transcripts of 10th, 12th, and Degree
The application will be reviewed by the Academic Council for final approval
A letter of admission from the institute will serve as the applicant’s confirmation of admission

Learning Outcome

M.Div

The Master of Divinity program offered in SALI is a three-year (6 semesters) course that mainly focuses on giving Advanced Training in Christian Leadership along with other Biblical and Theological subjects. The medium of Instruction is English. Master of Divinity requires coursework totaling One Hundred and Fourteen credit hours. One Hundred and Eight credits are given for subjects and six credits for Applied Courses.

B.Th

The Bachelor of Theology (B. Th) is a degree which requires three years of full-time study. Students are required to take subjects from the major areas namely, Old Testament, New Testament, Theology & Ethics, History of Christianity, Christian Leadership, Christian Ministry, Missions, Religion & Philosophy, and Languages.

Dip.Th

The Diploma in Theological Studies (Dip. Th) can be undertaken in two years and aims to train the candidates in Old Testament, New Testament, Theology & Ethics, History of Christianity, Christian Leadership, Christian Ministry, Missions, Religion, and Languages.
