Currently, SALI offers two Programs, Bachelor of Theology and a Diploma in Theology. All the applicants for admission should be born again and must have a clear calling and commitment for ministry along with the following academic qualifications. Candidates for Diploma in Theology should have passed 10th grade and those who are applying for B.Th. should have passed 12th grade.
All the courses offered at SALI have English as the medium of instruction and the candidates are required to have a fair knowledge of the English language.
The Diploma in Theological Studies can be undertaken in two years of full-time or its equivalent in part-time study. Students take subjects from the major subject areas of Theology, which are Biblical Studies, Christian Thought and History, and Pastoral Studies. They are also able to include three papers from outside of Theology in their Diploma.
The Bachelor of Theology (BTheol) is a specialist degree which requires three years of full-time or its equivalent in part-time study. The degree can also be completed via Distance Learning. Students are required to take subjects from the major subject areas of Theology, which are Biblical Studies, Christian Thought and History, and Pastoral Studies. They are also able to include five papers from outside of Theology in their degree.
Students are taught by research-active scholars, are expected to undertake a variety of learning experiences and are challenged to develop their intellectual independence. Graduates of the program are well-informed about the key themes of and approaches to the different areas of study which are encompassed by the subject areas of Theology and have the ability to integrate learning across the range of subject areas of Theology.
You’ll be equipped to serve in career ministry with New Tribes Mission as a cross-cultural church planter or in a role supporting church planting. Your instructors are experienced missionaries, who are passionate about teaching you field-proven methods that are constantly updated to remain effective and relevant. They want you to be able to give God your best.
